Now–I’m not sure that the name of this lipstick is the most accurate, but I am most definitely in love with it regardless.
Burberry Kisses is the newest edition to the Burberry beauty family. Marketed as a hybrid of a balm and a lipstick, Kisses lives up to it’s promise–super comfortable, hydrating colour that can be worn as a sheer veil, or built up to a more opaque finish.
Unlike like most hydrating lipsticks and balms, Kisses doesn’t budge easily to migrate around your face. It stays put.
While one layer creates a translucent wash of colour, it is actually quite pigmented once one or two more layers are applied, without ever looking cakey. The formula is very long lasting, requiring only one or two quick touch ups throughout the day, and persists through water and food. Also, as I love, there are no shimmers or pieces of glitter to be seen. Just pure, unadulterated colour.
I was sent Pomegranate Pink, which I expected to be a darker, blue-toned pink. However, I was pleasantly surprised–although not fruitfully accurate (?), it is gorgeous. A beautiful, bright, cool-toned coral shade that illuminates the complexion and is completely refreshing. Really an instant pick-me-up in this everlasting Winter.
There are 28 shades in the collection (!!), pretty crazy since it just launched. I’m going to need some serious help restraining my wallet from buying every single one of these.
