Winter is in full force in Canada, and it is now more important that ever to make sure that your face is well-protected. The skin needs moisturize to be able to repair itself, so whether you have dry skin, acne, or wrinkles, everyone should be trying to shove in as much hydrating as possible into their routines.
Today I’ve got another beautiful serum option for you, Chanel’s new Hydra Beauty Micro Sérum.
Like most Chanel skincare products, it is pretty heavily fragranced with the scent of Camellias, though very pretty. Those with skin sensitive to fragrance might want to head to the counter for a swatch test before purchasing.
The serum keeps skin plumped up, youthful-looking and fresh, without any greasiness. Who doesn’t want that?
This is a very light, refreshing gel, that immediately melts into a liquid upon contact with your skin, leaving no residue whatsoever, unlike the silkier feel of Vichy’s Aqualia. I would think that this would be especially great for oilier skin, or those who are looking for something super light. It’s very watery–not greasy in the slightest. It will also work especially well in the summer, when skin is dried out from the sun, but can’t handle anything heavy.
Working with the science of Microfluidics, Chanel Research has made it possible to inject little droplets (you can sort of see them at the top of the bottle in the second photo) of Camellia Alba OFA, an oleo-active ingredient rich in polyphenols, which reinforces the benefits of the active ingredients, Camellia Alba and Blue Ginger. The pearly droplets diffuse immediately on contact–they are undetectable. Blue Ginger is rich in antioxidant properties, and Camellias help restore and maintain water reserves.
