Fashion’s most fashionable cat gets her own cosmetics line.

Well, if this is any proof, Karl Lagerfeld is taking over the world. With Chanel, Fendi, his own eponymous line, and his previous holiday collection with Shu Uemura–he’s everywhere. And now, his cat Choupette is getting in on the action.


Choupette, or Shupette, has her own holiday collection with Shu Uemura, La maison de Shupette, which features their cult favourite Ultime8 cleansing oil and eyelash curler, 2 pairs of their trademark crazy fake eyelashes, brushes, a UV skin base, as well as products for eyes, lips, cheeks and nails.


At a l’Oreal Luxe holiday party a few weeks ago, I was given a huge bottle of the Ultime8 cleansing oil. Not only have I always wanted to try it out as I love a good cleansing oil, but I was super excited to get a bottle with the adorable cat illustration on it.


As for the oil, I was pretty impressed. It completely dissolved my makeup quickly and easily, without leaving a greasy residue. I like to use this cleanser at night as my first cleanse, following up with Biologique Recherche’s Lait U.

The oil itself isn’t too thick, but to me, the smell reminds of sunscreen as a kid (though some people are into that). Not as nice as my all-natural Province Apothecary cleanser, but then again, I can’t use that cleanser on my eye area.
